Dr. Carey established Old Bridge Acupuncture and Wellness in 2012 to deliver relief and recovery to people from all over New Jersey (and beyond) struggling with chronic and seemingly hopeless neurological conditions. Acupuncture is magic! I’ve been a patient at Old Bridge Acupuncture for probably close to a decade, going occasionally to treat exercise injuries, aches, & pains. Acupuncture, stimulaiton, gua sha, & cupping had always made a huge difference in my physical recovery.

So last year, in the midst of an early pregnancy loss, when I saw their social media post offering natural fertility treatments I called to schedule a consultation to find out more. The plan was not going to be covered by insurance but I decided to make the investment in myself & I'm so glad I did.

Within just a few sessions, I began to feel like myself again, mentally. Dr. Carey helped regulate my nervous system, relieve stress & reduce irritability. I followed his recommendations on herbal medicines, nutrition, & bbt tracking. Within a few cycles, I was pregnant again! I continued maintenance treatments throughout my entire pregnancy to manage stress & alleviate typical pregnancy symptoms. I'm holding my rainbow baby as I write this now.

I had numbness and tingling on my back and feet for months. After going to the doctor multiple times, the neurologist, rheumatologist, vascular and endocrinologist and none could find an answer for my symptoms. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was seeking treatment with Dr. Gregory Carey at Old Bridge Acupuncture and Wellness. After struggling with long COVID symptoms and seeing numerous doctors and specialists with little improvement, Dr. Carey was the only one who provided meaningful relief. More recently, I was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), which brought additional neurological challenges, compounding my post-COVID symptoms and anxiety. Without hesitation, I returned to Dr. Carey—and I’m so grateful I did.

Within just a few sessions, I noticed a significant improvement with my shortness of breath, inner trembles, heart palpitations and my anxiety. Now, as I near the end of my treatment, we are working on neurological issues with screens and being around others without being overly stimulated and therefore having flare ups of FND. It is a process which I am also obtaining physical therapy for but I am pretty sure if anyone can add a beneficial contribution, it is definitely Dr. Carey. Gregory is exceptional—his expertise, calming presence, and compassionate bedside manner made each session a positive experience, even at my most anxious. Tina and Amanda were also incredibly kind and supportive, contributing to the welcoming environment of the practice.

I can’t say enough good things and Dr. Carey and his team. I went in for fertility acupuncture starting in July. (My husband and I have been trying for about 9 months before hand and this was out last step before IUI) ….. At first, I was skeptical that this was even going to work, but Dr. Carey was SOOOO Knowledgeable!! He Gave me such great information And help me track my BBT … and in August my husband and I finally saw those 2 lines we have been waiting months to see!! I truly believe in my heart that the acupuncture worked.

After months of battling multiple issues, I decided to get acupuncture. I'm not entirely new to acupuncture, and in fact, I have been to this office 5 years ago for another issue during that time. When I need to heal something, I always take the holistic route to address the root cause and have found that this is truly the only way. Acupuncture is truly miraculous. I have had several extremely challenging issues, especially post-covid that became quite challenging and dangerous to my health. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that week 1, I was already experiencing major relief and a positive shift overall. I'm halfway through treatment, and I feel very optimistic. I'm super thankful because I was suffering pretty badly, and it was affecting my quality of life daily. I would also like to point out that the acupuncturist, Gregory, is extremely kind and empathetic. He listens and really tries to address all of your concerns as thoroughly as possible. I'm very comfortable there, and it is a safe environment all around. The staff is also very accommodating and welcoming. I highly recommend others to seek out this type of care because it truly works. Traditional healthcare will mainly push pharmaceuticals, and its more trial and error based. That comes with a ton of side effects and the root cause is rarely if ever addressed. If you want to truly heal and restore, I recommend this to everyone. I'm so glad I came back, and I'm looking forward to the remaining few weeks of treatment.
